We hardly can´t wait to introduce you our new children's CD. It always was a dream of us and we are very happy that we now had the time to put our projects into practice. On "Für Kind und Kegel", we publish 11 German children's songs, whose roots are in the Middle Ages, and which are therefore quite perfect for setting them up with medieval instruments.
The initiator of the idea was Phil I. Granus. A lovely afternoon with coffee and cakes, he heard from a distance a child "Es tanzt ein Biba Butzemann" that he knew from his time in the childhood and researched which of other songs are probably from the Middle Ages. It turned out that very many beautiful songs, also of educational value, are suitable to be used in a medieval version. Therefore, it was a pleasure and challenge to record the "Drei Chinesen mit dem Kontrabass" as a linguistic exercise with all vowels or "Laurentia, liebe Laurentia mein" with all weekdays (please do not forget the knee bend during the singing, muscle soreness guaranteed). In addition to these, there are also songs such as "Wer will fleißige Handwerker seh'n”, "Der Kuckuck und der Esel" or the canon "Hejo, spann den Wagen an" in German, English and French on the CD.
Since we have always wanted to pay more attention for children at the markets, we can realize this with our album now. It will surely be fun!
Also on this CD we would like to send a very special thank you to STF-Records and MikaMedia. Thank you very much for the help of this CD!
